It’s a quick one this month since G and I are on the go.
We are off to the South of France for some wine tasting, smelly cheese gorging, gout inducing r & r. So, what better to leave you with then a quickie cocktail?
This Watermelon Strawberry Vodka Cooler came about after my parents came to visit a while back. You have to understand that my parents’ idea of a vacation is feeding everyone they meet; they definitely did not disappoint on this side of the pond.
During their short visit, my dad furiously cooked three 6-course dinner parties and my mom stayed out of the way by making traditional Thai fruit carvings as table centrepieces.
In the end, over 30 bellies rolled home happy and the only morsels left were my mom’s fruit carvings, deemed to pretty to eat by our polite guests. I, on the other hand, am not too sentimental about watermelon, and you know how much I hate wasting food.
Waste not, want not my friends. Bon appetite. Be back very soon.
